Leveraging the Digital Economy to Revive Sri Lanka’s Economic Growth

Colombo Initiative and Visa International organized a closed-door virtual discussion in a webinar format between leaders of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and CXOs from digital payments, financial services and telecommunications sectors. The objective of the webinar was to provide an opportunity, in a closed-door setting, for the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and private sector institutions to exchange ideas and suggestions on digital payments capabilities and support the digital last mile connectivity. The session also served as an opportunity for the CBSL to engage closer with industry leaders to discuss the digital initiatives and schemes launched by the Government as Sri Lanka prepares for the post COVID-19 economic revival.
